Regarding, trying to compete with God, however, all of us, including you and I, have come to this world to compete with God. In reality God is the only Enjoyer, but some souls wanted to compete with God, and be enjoyers like Him. Thus, all of us souls in the material world are little devils, who try to compete with God. We are all like fallen angles, who have turned away from God, and come to the material world to compete with God for enjoyment. Krishna says: I am the only enjoyer and master of all sacrifices. Therefore, those who do not recognize My true transcendental nature fall down. -Bg 9.24
